The beloved doughnut is an American favorite. Not your typical fried doughnut, this baby is baked with love and smeared with frosting and toppings. Think outside the sprinkles and top with shaved coconut, crushed chips, brown sugar or whatever your heart desires – it’s endless! Thank you to Rosanna Pansino for the doughnut recipe.
1. Combine flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder and nutmeg into large mixing bowl
2. Whisk together
3. In a small mixing bowl, mix together the wet ingredients (milk and greek yogurt)
4. Melt butter and add to wet ingredients
5. Add egg to wet ingredients and whisk together
6. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients, mix with a hand mixer until mixture is thick
7. Grease a doughnut pan and pipe mixture doughnut trays about 1/2 way filled
8. Bake at 350º for 10 minutes
9. Let cool on wire rack
FROSTING
1. store bought cream cheese frosting
2. add a few drops of food coloring to change up the color
3. using a butter knife spread frosting over the cool doughnut
4. add sprinkles or any other fun topping
